She tied
the knot to Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney in a lavish four-day
Venetian wedding in September, and now Amal Alamuddin has been dubbed
the most influential woman in London.

Fresh
from her honeymoon with 53-year-old George, the human rights lawyer
returned to work last week when she headed to Greece to advise the Greek
government in its battle to repatriate the ancient Elgin Marbles
statues from Britain.
According to,
Amal said: ‘In a world of intractable conflicts, here is one that can
be solved in a way that can benefit both parties and humankind
altogether.’
She added: ‘Greece has a just cause and it’s high time for the British museum to recognise this.'

It would be fair to say that Amal Clooney is a
devoted fan of Oscar de la Renta. Her much-anticipated wedding dress
was created by the label, and now she's stepped out again wearing a
gingham dress by the coveted design house.
Amal chose the pencil style dress featuring a gingham top as she jetted back to London, giving a whole new meaning to 'airport chic' - this is definitely now our poster look for said style!
After spotting her in this dress, we've actually realised that Amal has an unlikely fashion twin - Taylor Swift! Not only have we seen Tay Tay rocking this exact same dress before, but they have both also been pictured sporting the same pink floral dress by Oscar de la Renta before.
Like its sister print, tartan, gingham is a real classic pattern, meaning any items adorned with it are guaranteed to endure season after season. With that in mind, get inspired by Amal's look and shop our edit of gingham dresses below!

The
Duchess of Cambridge, who was among Time magazine's Most Influential
People In The World last year, failed to make the list as Amal swooped
in just behind politicians George Osborne and Boris Johnson and Deep
Mind technologies founder Demis Hassabis.
Malala
Yousafzai - who just accepted the Nobel Peace Prize - made the top 20
list as she was acknowledged for her courage to stand up Taliban men who
denied Pakistani women education and this week received praise from
Barack and Michelle Obama.
Other
entries into this year's list include the hotelier responsible for the
success of The Chiltern Firehouse, Andre Balazs, as well as
singer-songwriter Kate Bush, who made her return to the limelight this
year with a run of live London shows.
Newlyweds: Human rights lawyer Amal has already exceeded expectations with her popularity with the British public
