Bus Dived Into A River In Sokoto; Drowns 24 of his passengers

Bus Dived Into A River
Just yesterday morning, 7th November, a travelling bus dived into a river at Rima, Goronyo L.G.A of Sokoto State, and drowned fifteen of its passengers.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the deceased were traveling back to their hometown, Dan-Wawaru, from Takakume, a village close to Rima, when this tragic accident took place.
Spokesman of the Sokoto Police Command, Al-Mustapha Sani, said the vehicle was conveying 17 persons at the moment of the accident and that just two of its passengers survived. He said the cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained, and that the remnants of the deceased had been evacuated and have since been buried by their respective families according to Islamic rites.
