The school was planned to teach students “Biblical truths” in each
subject and is currently being considered by the British Department for
Education. The Church is also under investigation by the Charity
Commission.
One organization called the National Secular Society, is against the
creation of the school because the organization stands for the
separation of religion and state.

In one letter NSS sent to the Department for Education raised concern
about the suitability of Oyedepo’s Church to run educational
establishments in the country, raising concerns over both educational
standards and child welfare.
In 2011, Oyedepo was allegedly caught on tape attacking a young girl
in one of his service, He said the girl was possessed by some evil
spirits.
In 2012, The Metropolitan Police said that kids believed to be under
the possesion of evil spiritsor under the influence of witches are at
“clear and immediate risk of significant harm.”

The NSS also asked the DfE to investigate the details concerning the
case of a three year old child who passed away when drowned in the
toilets of a Kingdom Heritage Model School operated by Winners Chapel in
Nigeria in 2012.
NSS Campaign manager Stephen Evans said: “Given this Church’s
association with belief in witchcraft and the actions of its leader, we
hope the department will give serious consideration to the reliability
of the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of
children.”
When the church was contacted, they refused to respond to the
allegations, but another staff member of the church claimed the
allegations was just a scam and therefore are false.
